New Feature! Meet the Vendors at the Waimea MidWeek Market at Pukalani Stables: Kawaihae Card & Botticelli Farms

If you haven’t been to the Waimea Midweek Market at the Paniolo Heritage Center at Pukalani Stables, then you’re missing out on some great local produce, plate lunches, snacks, crafts and goodies. The market is held every Wednesday from 9am to 4pm and is getting bigger and better every week. Not only does the market support local farmers and vendors, but it also helps support the Paniolo Heritage Center through vendor participation fees. It’s a win-win for the entire community! We’d like to introduce you to some of the farmers and vendors in the Waimea Midweek Market hui. Next time you’re at the market, stop by and give them a big ‘aloha’!

In this post we’ll feature Nancy Botticelli of “Kawaihae Cards & Botticelli Farms”. If you’ve ever met Nancy you know that she has a smile for everyone she meets. Here’s a little about Nancy and her business.

People who assist with the business:   Janet Montrose, Catita and the vendors

Years in Business:    Kawaihae Cards = 3 years, Botticelli Farms = 10 years

History:   CARDS – My main experience is as a Visual Merchandiser. In California I worked for Macy’s, 10 wineries and the Sonoma Mission Inn. In Hawaii, I worked 6 years as the outer island Visual Merchandise Manager for C.S. Wo & Sons where I created and maintained the 4 showrooms, co-ordinated events & assisted with advertising & buying.

Botticelli Farms – 10 years of love for the land.  We sell Meyers Lemons and Tahitian Limes and fresh/frozen Meyers lemon juice.

Other locations your products/services are available:   – CARDS = Anna Ranch, Grace Flowers in Honoka’a, Hilo Coffee Mill, Shops at Mauna Lani, Kenji’s Gallery in Kapa’au, Magnolia – Kahala Mall Oahu, Village Burger, Wishard Gallery Queens, Mauna Kea Resort, The Spanish Ranch – Santa Barbara, Tropical Dreams & Hawaii Ranchers.

Farm Produce – Café Pesto & Seafood Bar.

Makes the products unique? The photos for my cards are created locally by capturing events/places in Hawaii, or I create tabletop setups using my Visual Merchandising experience. Custom  & exclusive cards are available. All of my cards are printed locally to make for a truly LOCAL product, plus a quick turn around on all orders.  Products KC creates are greeting cards, small cards, place cards, cupcake picks gift tags, bookmarkers, gift wrapping paper, boxes for chocolates, cards or whatevers…all collections are available at the Waimea Mid-Week Farmers Market and  www.kawaihaecards.com.

Farm Produce – our fruit is completely naturally grown and local within a 10 mile radius of the market.

What Nancy enjoys about the market  The vendors are passionate about their products and the guests are so friendly.  Pukalani Stables is a great historical location featuring a museum and saddle maker.  And, last but not least, the musicians that play for us on market day.
