PPS is dedicated to:
Increase public awareness of the historical, present-day, and future significance of Hawaii’s ranching industry, with emphasis on the roles and traditions of the paniolo.
Collect, preserve and interpret documentation, photos, and artifacts that represent paniolo heritage.
Collect, preserve and interpret the living heritage of paniolo history and Hawaii’s ranching culture.
Develop financial resources to achieve the mission and goals via membership and fundraising.

THE LONG-TERM MISSION IS
To build and maintain a Regional Ranching and Paniolo Cultural Center with a focus on the Hawaiian ranching industry and the paniolo (cowboys) that made the industry possible.
The Great Waiomina Centennial Celebration, a public awareness program of the Paniolo Preservation Society, will be promoted beginning in 2007, offering statewide events throughout 2008.
